I have never been to Philadelphia and I have never had what is considered a real Philly. But I do love ordering them when I see them on menus and over the years I have created a pretty darn good recipe for them.
For this recipe you are going to need
- Olive Oil
- 3 Bell Peppers
- 1 Onion
- Worcestershire sauce
- 1 lb Ribeye Steak
- Beef Broth
- Salt & Pepper
- Cheese of your choice- For this I am using provolone
- Large Skillet Pan

First you are going to cut your onions, peppers, and steak. You will want to cut them in long strips. I am fortunate and my grocery store has precut veggies to make things run a little faster which is what I went with this time.

If need be add more seasoning and Worcestershire sauce to your liking. Then apply your cheese to cover the mix. Put a lid over the top and let melt.
You can serve with or without buns. If you do use buns butter and broil on high to crisp them up. It’s as simple as that.
