It’s been awhile since I’ve posted. During quarantine I’ve really been focusing on me and my life and really cancelling out a lot of my social media. You know, quiet out the noise. I figured what better way to come back than to talk about a topic I love. If you have been following me you know I have become a huge fan of sample beauty products. I recently signed up for Ipsy. I was impressed by the quality of this months products. They have given me a nice range to be able to test a little bit of everything. So what was in June’s bag?
Hanalei – Pear & Pineapple Duo Sheet Mask
Like most, I love a fresh clean product. These are Vegan and really made me feel fresh after using. The pear is hydrating and the pineapple really brightened my skin and reduced any dark spots on my face. They both smell amazing like I am in Hawaii, and currently I’d do anything to leave the house. I’d give these 10/10 simple to use, smell amazing, and make a difference to my skin.
Jumiso- Have a Good Cream
Ok so one of the descriptions of this product is “Snail Secretions”. Honestly a pretty big turnoff for me. However there were no snails harmed in the process of making. I was honestly hesitant of using this, but it’s silly to waste the products so I just went for it. My first thought was there’s no crazy smells, thankfully otherwise I don’t think I could use it. I would almost describe it as no smell, or a light lemongrass smell. After finishing the tube I did really feel like my skin looked better and was very light. More firm and clear. Because of the snail mucin it sticks to your face well and the product description does say you can use as a primer for makeup. It could be that we are in the middle of Summer but I would not recommend. I tested it out on a day to the park and by the time I left stuff was everywhere. Overall I’d give this product a 6/10. My skin looked good but I couldn’t get past the snail thing.
Pop Beauty- Pout on Point in Risque Rose
Ok, so out of everything in this bag this lip liner is hands down my favorite. Instead of your typical rounded point this is a triangle tip which really helps make applying easier. The color is beautiful very natural and perfect for everyday. I also really like that it does not dry my lips out. I’m really excited to be able to use this during the Fall/Winter. 10/10 recommend.
Eddie Funkhouser- Domed Blending Brush
As a pretty avid subscription box person it was a refreshing to get a tool in my bag. It’s a great quality of brush. Very soft and the description said it can be used with liquids, creams, and powders. So far I have only used powder and it blended everything out beautifully. 8/10 recommend. If you are in the market for a good brush I’d check it out.
Pacifica Beauty-Cherry Gold Highlighter & Blush
The last product in my bag was my second favorite, and it was one I got to choose. I love love blush and having something that is compact and easy to use makes my life that much easier. The blush is a really pretty mauve shade that can use year round. The packaging is also easy to take with you and has a cute mirror on the back. Great for date night touch ups! The highlighter is also really nice. It gives off amazing shine but doesn’t look super sparkly like glitter either. 10/10 recommend love everything about this.
So far I am really digging the Ipsy bag. I am really looking forward to using and testing out July’s bag!
